I, J.H. Drewry, of Boykins, Virginia, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do hereby make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking all wills by me at any time heretofore made:
FIRST: I direct that all of my just debts be paid and that all property, income, inheritance and estate taxes, state and federal, be paid by my Executor out of my estate, with no assessment to be made against the interest of any beneficiary under this will.
SECOND: I give and devise all of my real estate to my wife, Nellie M. Drewry, for and during her life time and at her death I give and devise the same as follows:
a. My residence located on the south side of Railroad Avenue in the Town of Boykins, Virginia, to Nelle Drewry Drummond in fee simple and absolutely, per stirpes.
b. My one-half interest in the so-called Knight house located on the north side of Virginia Avenue in the Town of Boykins, Virginia, conveyed to me and my wife, Nellie M. Drewry, by H.C. Bottoms, et als, by deed dated May 8, 1953, to my son, Samuel B. Drewry, in fee simple and absolutely, per stirpes.
THIRD: All the rest and residue of my estate of every kind and description, both real and personal, I give, devise and bequeath to my wife, Nellie M. Drewry, in fee simple and absolutely; however, should my wife predecease me, then, in that event, I give, devise and bequeath the same as follows:
a. All of my stock in Virginia National Bank to my seven grandchildren, John Herman Drewry, III, Patrick Dale Drewry, Dawn Elizabeth Drewry, Samuel Blount Drewry, Jr., John Moore Drewry, Raymond Lowell Drummond, Jr., and Jill Drummond, in equal shares, share and share alike, per stirpes.
b. All of my bank certificates of deposit and savings certificates to the alternate named beneficiary on same.
c. The note from John H. Drewry, Jr., to J.H. Drewry and Nellie M. Drewry in the original amount of $36,355.00, dated November 3, 1975, to John H. Drewry, Jr.
d. The note from Nelle Drewry Drummond to Nellie M. Drewry in the original amount of $17,842.50, date November 3, 1975, to Nelle Drewry Drummond.
e. The note from Samuel B. Drewry to J.H. Drewry and Nellie M. Drewry in the original amount of $42,933.00, dated November 3, 1975, to Samuel B. Drewry.
f. The rest and residue to my three children, John H. Drewry, Jr., Nelle Drewry Drummond and Samuel B. Drewry, in fee simple and absolutely and in equal shares, share and share alike, per stirpes.
FOURTH:I nominate and appoint my two sons, John H. Drewry, Jr., and Samuel B. Drewry, either or both of whom may serve, Executors of this my last will and testament, and I direct that no security be required of either of them as such.
