Last Will and Testament
Robert Drewry, Jr. (1723 - 1782)
York County, Va.

In the Name of God, Amen, I Robert Drewry of the County of Warwick do make this my last Will & Testament.

First. It is my will and desire that Nathaniel Burwell of Carter's Grove in James City Co. dispose of my sorrel horse and 12 barrels of corn due me from Mr. Nathaniel Nelson for the best price to be had.

I give the money arising from the sale of said horse and corn to my dauther Martha Drewry to be paid her in such sums and at such times as the said Burwell shall think proper. I give to my daughters Ann Hubbard, Mary Hill and Elizabeth Martin each one shilling sterling.

All the rest and residue of my estate I give my wife Mary Drewry for and during her natural life. After the death of my wife, I give my land to my son Robert Drewry and the Heirs of his body lawfully begotten. But in case he leaves no such Heirs I then give my land to my son Thomas Drewry and the Heirs of his body lawfully begotten.

It is my will and desire that all the rest of my estate hereby given my wife for life be after her death equally divided between my children Thomas, Robert and Martha Drewry and my grandson Robert Nicholson Drewry.

It is my desire that my sons Thomas and Robert take care of my grandson Robert Nicholson Drewry, put him to school and afterwards have him bound out to a good trade. Feby. 21, 1782
