Last Will and Testament
Susie Barham Drewry (1876 - 1962)
Southampton County, Va.

I, Susie B. Drewry of Capron, Virginia, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do hereby make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking all wills by me at any time heretofore made:
FIRST: I desire all my just debts to be paid.
SECOND: I give and devise my farm know as Westover Farm to my daughter, Helen D. Chappelle, for and during her life or so long as she remains unmarried, and at her death or marriage, whichever happens first, I give and devise the same to my daughter, Edwin B. Lassiter, for her life and at her death to my grandsons, Paul Taylor Lassiter and Thomas C. Lassiter, in fee simple and absolutely.
THIRD: I give and devise to my daughter, Helen D. Chappelle, my house and lot in Capron, Virginia for and during her life, and at her death to my granddaughter, Peggie Ann Lassiter, in fee simple.
FOURTH: I give and bequeath to my said daughter, Helen D. Chappelle, all of my household and kitchen furniture.
FIFTH: All the rest and residue of my estate of every kind and description, I give, bequeath and devise to my three children, Helen D. Chappelle, Edwin D. Lassiter and Guy H. Drewry, and my granddaughter, Shirley Jean Drewry, in fee simple and share and share alike; being a one-fourth undivided interest each.
SIXTH: I nominate and appoint my friend, John M. Britt, Attorney, Boykins, Virginia, executor of this my last will and testament.
Given under my hand and seal this 13th day of October, 1952.
