The
next stop on our tour was the Memorial Middle School of Dr. Sun Yat-Sen
and his home. He practiced as a physician in Macau from 1892 until
1894 when he returned to China. Dr. Sun Yat-Sen is recognized as
the father of the 1911 Chinese Revolution.
The grounds were beautifully manicured but there was no evidence of
children anywhere to be found. I would have expected children to be
everywhere but there were none. |

The
grounds were beautifully manicured and well taken care of as were
the classroom buildings (picture above and left). |

A
chalk drawing of Chairman Mao's
profile. The chalkboard was outside and
over 20 feet long. Since the writing was all
in Chinese I have no way of knowing what it said.
