A
look at the Yangtze from the top
of a hill in Wanxian
|
After
our visit to Wanxian we boarded the Princess Elaine about midday and
set sail for Chongqing, 375 miles upriver. We would arrive in Chongqing
about Noon the following day. From this point there wouldn't be much
to see, but we were in for a surprise that we didn't expect. Believe
it or not, the Sun almost decided to show itself on this the last
day of our Yangtze River cruise. |

Please
forgive me for going overboard and including two rather large pictures
of the sunset. I guess I was just overjoyed at seeing the Sun after
so many dreary days. It's the only time during the five days of our
Yangtze cruise there was even a hint of sunshine. Thank goodness it
wasn't cold and we only had light drizzle once, otherwise it would
have been one miserable five day voyage. |
